Chapter Social - 10/16 Cleanup at the Bay

Join us for our Chapter Social Saturday October 16^th to clean up Alamitos Bay in partnership with Algalita Marine Research and Education. We will set up near 54^th Street around Horny Corner.

Bring your own kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, or any other water vessel you prefer, to clean up the Bay. If you don’t have a vessel, we have 10 double kayaks available for use at no cost to you, donated by Kayaks on the Water. Email us at secretary@longbeach.surfrider.org ASAP to reserve a kayak spot.

Please arrive by 8:30 to set up your gear and meet other volunteers. We will have coffee and light snacks, but please bring your own mug! The clean up on the water will be from 9-10. We will also have folks cleaning up on the sand if you don’t want to go out on the water.
