Hands Across the Sand is an international grassroots event that brings people together to oppose new offshore drilling and promote a clean energy future that will help end our dependence on fossil fuels. Surfrider Foundation has been an official sponsor of the event since its inception. Please bring your own reusable bag or bucket, gloves, trash picker, hat, sunblock and water. We provide hand sanitizer, free parking pass, and if you’re in need of community service hours, we have certificates of completion available.
We’re always looking for volunteers to help out at the booth as well as participate in the cleanups. Our cleanups are welcome to individuals of all ages, school clubs, Scouts, companies, etc. You can sign our Beach Cleanup Program Participation Waiver beforehand or at the beach.
