The Army Corps has released their draft San Pedro Bay Ecosystem Restoration Study and will be having 2 public meetings to discuss on Monday December 9th. First meeting is 3-5PM and 2nd meeting is 6-8PM. The study and details can be found here.
Written public comments will be accepted through January 27th.
Currently, the Army Corps has abandoned breakwater alternatives due to their impacts on the Navy’s weapons transfer anchorage in the lee of the Long Beach Breakwater. LB Surfrider is reviewing the study and assessing our options.
