This will be the last meeting of the year 2010 for the Long Beach Chapter! We will be holding our general meeting on Monday, December 6th at 7PM. The location will be Ecco’s Pizza at 2123 N Bellflower Blvd. in Long Beach . It’s free to the public.
We’ll start with an update on recent efforts to"Sink the Breakwater" and bring waves back to Long Beach. Then, Kera Mathes of the Aquarium of the Pacific will be speaking about the boat tour of Southern California 's Urban Ocean. She will highlight what makes the Southern California Urban Ocean one of the most amazing segments of the entire world ocean, a focal point of intense interaction between humans and the sea. We'll learn about the various human and natural uses of the Urban Ocean , how people are working to make these uses sustainable, and what we can do as Southern California residents to help ensure our Urban Ocean stays healthy.
