The Surfrider Foundation Long Beach Chapter welcomes Michael Blum, executive director of Sea Clouds, as a guest speaker at our August 20th special chapter meeting. Sea Clouds is a non-profit
whose practice spans the fields of historic preservation and environmental conservation. Michael and Sea of Clouds completed the first listing in the National Register of Historic Places for Malibu based on its surfing history.Michael holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment, completing a thesis entitled,
"Protecting Surf Breaks and Surfing Areas in California". He has been a member and active volunteer with the Malibu Surfing Association since 2001.
